facebook ads website purchase conversion value

Hi People,

Noob here with ads data. Any insight is appreciated.

We got a e-commerce client who uses fb ads and has pixel setup. So tracking ads performance on websites is working. And we want to know the total purchase value attributed to fb ads.

Based on FB ads doc, I believe it should be website purchase conversion value metric(Not 100% sure). Can't find it in this doc either. I can see that prebuilt report has website_purchase_roas column which should be derive from website purchase conversion value/total_ad_spend.

Any idea how to config the FB ads connector to get this field/column?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @yql, Calvin from the Product team here!

To find the total purchase value attributed to Facebook Ads, you can use the field, converted_product_value, which is defined as "the value of purchases recorded by your merchant partner's pixel or app SDK for a given product ID and driven by your ads". Check out the Facebook Ads API documentation for a list of other relevant fields (ie. converted_product_quantity, website_purchase_roas).

This field isn't present in the prebuilt reports but you can leverage our Custom Reports to create a report/table and include this metric along with other relevant fields.

Hope this helps!

Im trying to find the website purchase conversion value and im not using the custom reports. How do I find an ad level broken down conversion value?

Thanks in advance!
