Identity sensitive data in flight with automatic PII detection.

Automatic PII Detection, available on Enterprise and Business Critical plans, runs on the backend of the Fivetran platform, scanning rows of in-flight data for characteristics of PII. If detected, we flag the columns in the connector’s schema, so you can easily review and edit your sync settings to block or hash the data, or sync the columns as usual. Connect to your database sources with the Fivetran Proxy.

Installed behind your firewall, Fivetran Proxy provides a simple and secure connection to your database sources, initiating communication with Fivetran and eliminating the need to open any inbound firewall ports. Proxy is available to all customers on the Business Critical plan, and is now available in beta.

New Azure cloud data regions.

We added three new Azure cloud regions last month, available for selection on the Business Critical plan: US East Virginia, Central India Pune and Japan East Tokyo. Browse all of our 35 cloud regions here.
